RBC Race for the Kids London and Royal Parks Half Marathon have record turnouts

This year, over 26,000 runners showed up in the rain for the RBC’s running weekend. On Saturday October 12, RBC Race for the Kids marked its tenth year with the largest turnout ever, 10,000 runners at Hyde Park

Over 2,300 Team RBC employees, families and friends took part to raise funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

For the past decade, the proceeds from the Race have gone towards the completion of the RBC Neuroscience Unit, providing support to seriously ill children from across the UK. In recent years, our efforts have gone towards funding a new project, the Royal Bank of Canada House. The House will act as a “home away from home” for the families of the children being treated at GOSH.

Sunday, October 13, an additional 16,000 runners arrived at Hyde Park ready for the Royal Parks Half Marathon, presented by RBC. The iconic run, which is the second largest mass participation fundraising event in the UK, has raised over £50 million benefiting over 1,000 charities since 2008.
