  1. How do I arrange to have my pension payment deposited directly into my Canadian bank account?

Please print and complete the Application for Direct Deposit form. The completed form, along with a sample cheque marked "Void" can be mailed to RBC Investor Services at the address indicated on the form. If a cheque is not available, please contact your bank to obtain a sample of the MICR encoding for your account. Requests should be received by RBC Investor Services 10 business days prior to payment date.

  2. How do I arrange to have my pension payment deposited directly into my U.S. bank account?

Please print and complete the U.S Application for Direct Deposit form. The completed form can be mailed to RBC Investor Services at the address indicated on the form or faxed to 416 955 2631. Requests should be received by RBC Investor Services 10 business days prior to payment date.

  3. When can I expect to receive my payment?

RBC Investor Services mails all cheques at least five business days prior to payment date. Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs) are deposited to your bank account on payment date.

  4. When will my EFT payment be received if the payment date is a weekend or holiday?

Payments deposited via EFT can be accessed through an automated teller machine (ATM) on the payment date regardless of whether the payment date falls on a weekend or statutory holiday. Availability of funds may be dependent on your financial institution.

  5. How should I inform RBC Investor Services about a change of address?

Please print and complete the Change of Address Form. The completed form can be mailed to RBC Investor Services at the address indicated on the form or faxed to 416 955 2631.

  6. How can I increase or reduce the amount of tax withheld at source?

All requests to increase current taxes being withheld must be received in writing from the pensioner. Please send your requests to:

    RBC Investor Services
    Benefit Payment Services
    P.O. Box 7500, Station A
    Toronto, ON M5W 1P9
    Canada

To reduce the amount of tax withheld, the appropriate government form must be completed and forwarded to RBC Investor Services at the above-noted address. A list of frequently-used government forms is available in the Forms & Resources section of this website.

  7. What are the benefits of receiving my monthly payment via EFT instead of cheque?

EFT is a convenient and streamlined payment solution. Payments are deposited directly into your account of choice on payment day. EFT also eliminates the dependency on mail delivery.

  8. What should I do if I have not yet received my payment?

Contact us at 1 800 668 1320 if your EFT or cheque payment has not been received by the payment date.

  9. When can I expect to receive my tax slip?

RBC Investor Services produces and mails tax slips confirming details of payments by February 28 each year. If you do not receive your tax slip by February 28, please contact us at 1 800 668 1320 to request a duplicate.
