This session is designed to help Swedish managers, present in Luxembourg or considering entering the market, set up Luxembourg structures and maintain an awareness of the factors that will impact them most.

The event will cover both liquid and alternative assets and will close with a networking lunch.

Jean-Philippe Bachelet

Jean-Philippe is an audit partner with over 25 years of experience in accounting and auditing. He is specialised in the audits of regulated investment funds and Management Companies and has deep experience in auditing various types of UCITS and AIF structures, investing in a variety of assets from traditional shares and bonds to complex derivatives, structured products, infrastructure funds and efficient portfolio management techniques.
Jean-Philippe is co-leading the Audit Nordic Initiative at Deloitte Luxembourg and has developed in this context a deep knowledge of the Nordic asset management markets and its key players.
He has also actively contributed to funds industry initiatives and has participated in various working groups of the Association Luxembourgeoise des Fonds d’Investissement  (“ALFI”) and is a member of the Deloitte Luxembourg Investment Fund Task Force.
Jean-Philippe is leading the technology and innovation activities of Deloitte Audit Sàrl.

Stéphane Badey

Stéphane is a Partner at Arendt. He started his career in 1998 in the consulting practice of a Big Four company where he acquired extensive experience in regulatory and compliance matters in the fund management industry, before joining a leading asset servicing bank where he became Director Compliance Europe. He specialises in anti-money laundering regulations and advises clients on all aspects relating to their AML/KYC framework. Stéphane also has a particular interest in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) matters, especially on sustainability-related financial and regulatory aspects.
He is an active member of ALFI, LPEA and EFAMA working groups on AML and ESG.
Stéphane holds a Master’s degree in Private Law from the University of Burgundy, Dijon, and a DEA in Comparative Law from the same university. He also holds a Diploma in Legal Studies from the University of Manchester. Furthermore, Stéphane completed the Cours complémentaires en droit luxembourgeois.

Francis Kass

Francis is a Partner at Arendt & Medernach. He advises domestic and foreign clients on the full range of legal and regulatory considerations in Luxembourg with respect to investment fund activity. Notably, this includes UCITS as well as regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds, along with their management entities. Francis assists with all phases of life-cycle management for Luxembourg investment funds, from structuring and set-up to liquidation. He also specialises in Luxembourg fund-related corporate governance matters and serves on the governing bodies of several Luxembourg-domiciled alternative investment funds and fund managers.
Francis has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 1996. He participates in several working groups of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI), and regularly moderates training courses by Arendt Institute. He served on the governing body (Conseil de l’ordre) of the Luxembourg Bar from 2006 to 2008 and holds a master's degree in Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium).

Johan Lindberg

Johan has been leading business development and client relations activity for the Nordic region at RBC Investor & Treasury Services since 2015. From 2007 to 2010, Johan worked for RBC Dexia Investor Services as Director, Business Development.

Johan is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of business exposure in the Nordics, having held various managerial and executive positions including Managing Director at SEB and BankInvest and CEO at Coeli Asset Management.  He has extensive experience from business development and client relationship management in the asset servicing industry, while being active within fund distribution, product development and securities lending. Since 2015, Johan has served as President and Chairman on the Board of the International Bankers Club Luxembourg.

Johan holds a Diploma (Combined Honours) degree in Economics, Law and Marketing from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Kerstin Lindgren

Kerstin has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS), she worked at Intertrust, where she managed their Depositary Services for Alternative Investment Funds, and has also worked at SEB, both in Sweden and in Luxembourg, where she was responsible for various operational and client facing functions, including heading custody services in Luxembourg. Kerstin is responsible for the growth and retention of Nordic asset managers’ portfolios and has extensive experience of managing large institutional client relationships. She joined RBC I&TS in 2017 and is based in Luxembourg.  Kerstin holds a degree in International Law and Legal Studies from Örebro University.

Yann is co-leading the Audit Nordic Initiative in Deloitte Luxembourg, and has developed in this context a deep knowledge of the Nordic asset management markets and its key players.
Yann also actively contributes to Fund governance initiatives and participates in various working groups of the Institut des Administrateurs Luxembourgeois (“ILA”) (Audit Committee for funds and Board Organization and Effectiveness Committee), and is member of the Deloitte Luxembourg Investment Fund Task Force.
Yann is leading a technology initiative for the audit of funds and drive automation in the audit of funds. In this context, he is in charge of the development of D.NAV, which states as a leading solution for the audit of funds in Luxembourg.
