Harry Samuel
CEO, RBC Investor & Treasury Services and Chairman, European Executive Committee
Harry Samuel has nearly three decades of experience in global financial services, having worked in London, Toronto and Sydney. He joined RBC in 1989 in FX and has held progressively senior roles, establishing and managing global businesses in fixed income, currencies, commodities, and liquidity asset management. Between 2011 and 2014, Harry was regional CEO for RBC Capital Markets in Europe. In 2013, he was appointed to the global leadership of RBC Investor and Treasury Services, one of RBC's five reporting segments, which has responsibility for asset, custody and payments services for institutional clients worldwide, as well as the bank’s global funding and liquidity asset management. In addition, Harry was named Chairman of RBC’s European Executive Committee in November 2013.
Harry is a profound advocate for diversity and equality, currently serving as the Chair of RBC’s UK Diversity Council and as a longstanding member of the bank’s enterprise-wide Diversity Leadership Council. He is also actively involved in charitable and educational organizations in the UK and Canada, promoting children’s welfare and education.
Harry holds an Honours BA from McGill University and an MSc in Economics from the University of London (London School of Economics).
